Tour Description

Walk along the original ancient streets of Pompeii and step inside remarkably preserved spaces: elegant private homes, bustling shops, vibrant theatres, traditional bathhouses, and even the famous lupanare. Your route leads to the breathtaking Forum, where you’ll also encounter the powerful plaster casts of the eruption’s victims.

Discover how Romans worked, relaxed, celebrated, and lived their everyday lives. With your audio-guided app, you’ll learn fascinating stories about the people of Pompeii and the dramatic events surrounding the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

A day before your visit, our team will reach out via WhatsApp or email with your tickets and all essential instructions. Please make sure to download all files and the audio guide before arrival, as the site has no free Wi-Fi and mobile signal can be unreliable.

Don't miss this historic visit to Pompeii

All I can say is outstanding. A must visit for anyone that would like to learn a little more about world history. If you don't visit on a tour or buy your ticket in advance, then you may have to wait in line for a while to purchase tickets and enter. It does take more than one day to see everything but if you only have one day it should be enough to see the highlights. Parking is on the street if you find it or in lots of a straight fee.

Guided tour is best

This is the most/visited site in Italy for a reason. They are still excavating to this day and one-third of Pompeii is still buried. Highly recommend you tour with a guide and small group. Otherwise the enormity of Pompeii is overwhelming. A knowledgeable guide will truly make your experience better, so spring for it.

Headout pompei tickets

Don't buy tickets in this website. They sell vivatickets for pompei but don't inform you about young people discount till after you have paid. They charge you 25€ instead of 3,5€ for young ones.
Don't use this page!!!

Worst Experience Ever

DO NOT GO TO THE RUINS!!!
If you’re like me, an English speaker wanting to enjoy the history of pompeii then this is not for you. One of my family’s biggest problem was the staff. They were horrible, genuinely some of the rudest people we have ever come across and spent the whole time screaming at guests (not us) for mere accidents (like leaning on a wall) or not doing anything at all. I watched them make a small child cry because he touched something. A small “don’t touch please” would have been sufficient as what looked like a 4/5 year old is not strong enough to break a wall taht was made thousands of years ago. Also unpopular opinion but you can not get annoyed at guests for not speaking your language. In my country, we are always very respectful for anyone speaking a different language and want to help them. Especially if your working in a “tourist attraction” you should be able to at least speak some words of the most popular language in the world or better yet get out google translate and work from there.

Just okay

Enjoyed Villa Dei Misteri and found some of the ruins interesting. The preserved mosaics were beautiful. Did not book a guided tour which really made finding things around the park difficult. Signposting on site is poor and the whole experience felt very chaotic due to huge numbers of tourists in groups. Paid a lot of money for our entry tickets and we did not receive the audio guide as booked, despite booking from official site. We spent almost 4 hours here and could not find parts we wanted to see due to lack of directions and information . Some parts felt very restored, however, others were amazing so I don't regret the visit. The site itself is huge , an entire city with intact streets . I would advise to book a guided tour if visiting . To be honest, I would not return. Pompeii town itself was pleasant but far too crowded.
