You should certainly use a tour guide to get a better understanding of the history! Be prepared to walk, climb stairs and navigate crowds! It’s certainly a historic place to visit!
Absolutely iconic place to visit. Yes very busy but no real queue with none guided ticket. The small museum section is worth reading. My 21 year old daughter loved it here
We went around 9am when it wasn’t too busy, with pre-booked tickets to go onto the main floor area. It was so impressive! Whilst it looks big from the outside, it really takes your breath away inside. The ticket also included the forum which was really interesting, covering so much history. Also a great value coffee shop near the exit. Highly recommend.
It was a dream made true to visit this historical place in Rome. totally recommended.
the movies does not do it justice. at 2000 years it still looks incredible. like a dream. the amount of visitors is overwhelming though .
